We asked...Why Gretsch?:
Growing up, I always admired American-made drums, and to me, Gretsch was the Rolls Royce of them all. The best drummers played Gretsch, and for good reason. Drum tone is crucial to every drummer, but for me, it’s everything.
My kit is uniquely outfitted with internal mics, and sound crews consistently praise how incredible it sounds straight out of the gate. They often say, “We don’t have to do much—just plug it in, run up the faders, and it’s perfect,” requiring little to no EQ. My response is always the same: “That’s The Great Gretsch Sound!”
Thank you, Gretsch, for continuing to uphold such an iconic legacy year after year. It's an honor to be on the roster and "Stand on the shoulders of giants."
Advice to aspiring musicians?:
"Study hard, have fun and believe in yourself. Don't compare yourself to others, there's only one of you, so be the best you that you can be!"
