Bio:
Jamie Murray has made a name for himself as one of the great drummers on the music scene today as both a bandleader, sideman and clinician. Having recently played and toured with legendary guitarists Robben Ford and Guthrie Govan as well as the release of his solo album "Evolution" featuring David Binney on Alto Saxophone. Currently, Jamie is writing and recording his next solo project entitled "Drumcat" whilst maintaing tours and gigs as a sideman across the world throughout a large spectrum of styles mostly in the contemporary Jazz world.
He has played with most of his contemporaries and peers in the London/American Jazz Scene as well as crossing into the electronic pop world, playing and recording with Jazz giants from the Sun Ra Arkestra, Knoel Scott and Cecil Brooks as well as Donny McCaslin (David Bowie Blackstar) and many other musicians in today's Jazz scene.
Some notable previous projects include “Beat Replacement” and “JZ Replacement” which enabled Jamie to perform across the world in the Jazz/Crossover scene performing with some of the most innovative and forward-thinking musicians of today.
His first album "Disrespectful" featuring bass legend Tim Lefebvre (David Bowie, Donny McCaslin, Vinnie Colaiuta) and sax master Zhenya Strigalev (Eric Harland, Ambrose Akinmusire, Aaron Parks) is out via "Rainy Days" record label on all music platforms.
Jamie also hosts his own Late Late show at the world famous Jazz Club Ronnie Scotts every month.
