"Gretsch is just one of those ubiquitous names in music. There isn’t a drummer on the planet who wouldn’t be interested in playing Gretsch drums. Despite the rich history it’s exiting to see the company pushing new boundaries and working with so many new acts!"
Advice to aspiring musicians?:
"Be honest. Play honest music. Music can be transparent and if you are making something that it trying to be something it’s not it will come across like that. "
Bio:
London Grammar are an English trio formed by Hannah Reid, Dan Rothman, and Dominic 'Dot' Major. Their debut EP, Metal & Dust, was released in February 2013 by Metal & Dust Recordings Ltd while their debut album, If You Wait, was released on 9 September 2013 reaching Number 2 in the UK charts. If You Wait has been certified platinum in Australia and the United Kingdom, selling over 70,000 and 300,000 copies, respectively. London Grammar won an Ivor Novello Award in the Best Song Musically and Lyrically category for "Strong" And later in 2014 they won two awards, "Independent Breakthrough of The Year" and "PPL Award For Most Played New Independent Act", at the AIM Independent Music Awards. Their second album Truth Is a Beautiful Thing was launched June 2017 going straight into Number 1 in the UK charts.
