We asked...Why Gretsch?:
"Gretsch is the classic sound of my childhood - there is a reason why Gretsch is considered the most recorded drums in the history of time. The drums are like a cameleon in the sun - they blend into the music."

Advice to aspiring musicians?:
"Play with as many different musicians as possible and don't hang out alone in the rehearsal room all day."

Bio:
With over 300 studio recordings Felix is considered one of Germany’s most recorded drummers.

Since 2008 he is the drummer for Germany’s greatest female Pop artist Sarah Connor. Playing in many different genres and styles from Till Brönner to Swedish Progressive Rock legends The Flower Kings, Felix is one of the most versatile musicians in Europe. His own band is called MARRIAGE MATERIAL.

Born 1984 in a small town called Halberstadt, Felix´ family moved to Berlin, when he was three years old. At the same time he started to play the drums. As son of a well known guitar player and thus growing up in a musical family, his childhood was a never-ending jam session between him and his dad Michael Lehrmann. After playing in numerous semi-pro bands since he was ten years old, Felix Lehrmann started his professional career at the age of 17, when playing his first European tour with singer Della Miles. Felix received a scholarship to Berklee College of Music in Boston, but preferred to pursue making music instead of continuing his studies.

Immediately after finishing school, Felix’ former band Rivo Drei received a major label deal with Sony/BMG and besides he went on tour with german TV star and singer Yvonne Catterfeld, which lasted for three years. From that point on, he never looked back and ever since his schedule has been filled with tours, studio dates and clinics around the globe! He also released a solo album in 2011.
