We asked...Why Gretsch?:
"The first kit I bought after I moved to Nashville in 1998 was a beautiful square badge kit that Sam Bacco had refinished in a stunning dark gold-ish glitter wrap. 22,10,12,14,16. That was it for me. Those drums sounded different than any I had ever played. I still occasionally play that kit in the studio to this day. Gretsch drums sound the way drums should! I have never played another brand of drums that I'd choose over Gretsch. "That great Gretsch sound" always makes me smile!"

Advice to aspiring musicians?:
"Work hard. Believe in yourself. Be a good person.

Working hard will prepare you for any situation, musical or non-musical, that you may encounter. Your work ethic will dictate how prepared you are when opportunities arise. Believing in yourself will give you the confidence to be your best in any situation that presents itself. Treating others with respect and developing a great reputation will serve you well in any musical community. Reliability and preparedness are always highly valued as well.

Be a good person! Treat others like you want to be treated and you can't go wrong."
