Bio:
Hailing from Detroit, Michigan, Doug's interest in music began at a very early age and by the age of five was performing at educational seminars for the regional "Anderson Music" chain.
Considered a highly versatile player, Doug's formative years were heavily influenced by old R&B (Otis Redding, James Brown & Al Green) and Funk (Earth, Wind & Fire). Moving to LA, Doug spent four years performing and recording with the power pop band Eden's Journal. "A great experience, with great friends."
The wonderful advice and guidance of friend, Ron Gannaway (Drummer for Steve Wariner, Gretchen Wilson) led to Nashville and within two weeks Doug was touring with Trisha Yearwood. The Nashville move happened. He has since toured and recorded with several Pop and Country artists (Leah Turner, Andy Griggs, Jamie ONeal , Kimber Cleveland, Kelly Sweet, etc.) and is now Musical Director and Drummer for Sony /Columbia Artist, ‘Leah Turner’.
Also, catch Doug as the host and Co-Creator of Gigging & Grubbing.
