We asked...Why Gretsch?:
"When I sit down at a Gretsch kit, it gives me something that no other drums ever did. It gives back. You’ve heard plenty of drum science about craftsmanship and tone and quality… Just sit down and play the hell out of one!"

Advice to aspiring musicians?:
"Find teachers, practice your butt off, put your iphone down and play like there’s no tomorrow…"

Bio:
Joseph Arrington can be seen backing two adrenaline fueled acts, A Lot Like Birds and Sianvar, across the world. Experimental and ambitious, these bands are hard to define much like Arrington’s playing. Upon returning home from such adventures he can be found in his natural habitat fueling jazz-fusion/jam-band juggernauts like Love Mischief and his own various studio endeavors that span the spectrum of Northern California’s brimming musical jungle. Combining traditional musical mentalities with a modern energy all his own, Joseph literally eats, sleeps, and bleeds drums… Except when he is playing Metroid, reading, or backpacking in the wilderness.
