We asked...Why Gretsch?:
"I not only love the Gretsch of today and tomorrow but the long recorded history of the brand. Gresych drums in my opinion are the best sounding and most consistent drums made and the only choice for my very demanding schedule."

Advice to aspiring musicians?:
My only advice is what works for me – I got curious about who influenced my favorite music and I ended up listening and learning the blues – Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon, Howlin Wolf, Albert King, BB King etc. This combined with passion and hard work has enabled me to work with a wide variety of music that in one way or another comes from american blues. Jumping between genres and artists makes thing always feel fresh for me – so one artist makes me play better with another.
