Influences:
Put simply, songs. To me, there's nothing better than an interesting, song supporting drum part played with a great sound and feel. My influences are very wide ranging, but ground zero would be the STAX, Sun, Hi, and American Studios rhythm sections from my hometown of Memphis, TN.
We asked...Why Gretsch?:
The sound! That Great Gretsch Sound crafted by those great Gretsch people.
Advice to aspiring musicians?:
Listen to and create the music you want to hear.
