We asked...Why Gretsch?:
Gretsch has always been the sound I associated with music. Growing up a product of The Rolling Stones I always knew that Gretsch Drums were to me the standard. Every time Ive been fortunate to sit behind a set of Gretsch Drums, the inspiration to play something new and different is so strong. I've always wanted to be a Gretsch artist, and Im excited that dream is now a reality.
Advice to aspiring musicians?:
Say yes to everything, take the gigs you're going to dread on the ride there, but be thankful for a year later. Be good to others, and remember the weight of dreams are heavy but don't be afraid to try.
Bio:
From Villa Rica Georgia, just west of Atlanta. I am currently the touring Drummer, Band leader, and co-MD for country artist Megan Moroney. I grew up around great music because of my dad, bands such as: The Rolling Stones, Mötley Crüe, The Police, James Brown, and many others. I began playing at the age of 11 after seeing KISS. I am the product of what KISS did for so many kids, inspiring them to make music. I am self taught, and very proud of that. I climbed my way from churches in the Atlanta area all the way to the magnificent life of the white Econo Line van and trailer. I accompanied many country artist along the way including (Jon Langston, and Noah Hicks). I started with Megan in 2021 at her first show in Nashville. We have been working together ever since and I have been very lucky to have a large part in the design musically of her previous tours. Im accompanied alongside by an incredible band (John Baker, Alex Shernit, Riley Lowery and Haley Sullivan). My success with Megan is greatly linked to their talents and abilities as well. I'm so excited to be a Gretsch Artist and represent such a wonderful company, that as a kid I dreamt to be apart of. -Eric Pritchard Go Dawgs.
