Influences:
My biggest influences come from very different corners of the drumming world. I’ve always loved the energy and intensity of Slipknot, especially the way the drums drive the music forward. Eloy is the GOAT! Adam Gray has also been a huge influence on me with his powerful playing and solid groove. Luke Holland is another drummer I admire for his creativity, technical ability, and modern approach to drumming.
At the same time, drummers like Noah Fürbringer and Felix Lehrmann have inspired me a lot. As a left-handed drummer, I always enjoy seeing fellow lefties doing great things behind the kit.
No matter the genre, I’m always drawn to great grooves. While I enjoy the challenge of extreme metal drumming, a tasty groove will always win me over.

We asked...Why Gretsch?:
I started playing Gretsch drums during gigs and throughout my jazz studies, and I quickly fell in love with their sound and character. Unfortunately, Gretsch drums are often associated with a more traditional jazz image.
I strongly believe they deserve to be heard in every style of music. They are simply outstanding instruments with an incredible tone, dynamic range, and personality. I want to show that Gretsch drums are not limited to one genre — they can deliver the power, punch, and aggression needed for extreme metal as well.
My goal is to bring Gretsch drums into the world of extreme metal and show what these amazing instruments are truly capable of!

Advice to aspiring musicians?:
Never stop playing drums. Practice and patience are the keys to progress. Also, never stop learning.

Bio:
I studied jazz drums and couldn't really play (extreme) metal. In 2021, I got a call from Noise asking if I wanted to join Kanonenfieber for a tour in 2022. Of course, I said yes—I thought touring with a metal band would be fun.
So I had eleven months to learn the basics of double bass drumming and blast beats. Since then, Noise and I have been pushing my limits with every new album cycle. I love the challenge, having a concrete goal helps me to stay disciplined as well.
So far, it seems to be working. But personally, I still prefer tasty grooves over blast beats to be honest😉
