We asked...Why Gretsch?:
The primary reason for choosing Gretsch drums is their unique warmth, natural, and rich sound that can only be found in Gretsch drums. With the increasing demand for performances with electric-based music and tracks, I prefer creating harmony with the natural identity of Gretsch drums. The deep history, position, and weight that Gretsch drums hold in the global music scene make them incredibly appealing.

Advice to aspiring musicians?:
Everyone knows that a lot of practice is necessary for great performance, but I believe the key is not to approach practice as a task. Instead, creating a routine where practice is enjoyable is essential. Groove, technique, and soloing are all equally important musically. Bio:
Seonggil Yeom is a drummer actively involved in various recording and live performances in pop, rock, broadcast, and musical genres. He is a permanent member of the renowned Korean rock band Jaurim, contributing to multiple studio albums and live performances.

In addition to his work with Jaurim, Seonggil has played with numerous K-pop idols and groups, including Jang Keun Suk, Jung Yong Hwa, TREASURE, BTOB, SHINHWA, WINNER, PLAVE, and Choshinseng, participating in their albums and Asian tours. He has also performed with international artists such as Shane Filan from Westlife, drummer Gregg Bissonette, and bassist Stuart Hamm in their concerts and clinics in Korea.

Seonggil was part of the recording of Japanese saxophonist Motoaki Yasutake’s album "All Your Heart (2023)", featuring a saxophone duet with American saxophonist Kirk Whalum.

He has performed as part of house bands on various music broadcast programs. Seonggil also served in the National Police Orchestra for two years, gaining experience in performing with a four-part orchestral arrangement. This experience led him to perform in the orchestras for major musicals such as "The Lion King," "MAMMA MIA," "Evita," "Man of La Mancha," and "The Producers."

Additionally, Seonggil has contributed to numerous soundtracks for albums, films, and dramas, as well as providing lectures at music colleges.
