We asked...Why Gretsch?:

"The first time I played a Gretsch kit, I remember being thrilled by the sound as I flicked my fingers across the heads. I picked up some sticks and couldn’t believe what I heard; the whole kit seemed to be alive. Each soft or hard strike was reflected back in the timbre of the drum, it was like playing a grand piano. It was a 1960’s silver sparkle. I don’t think a gig or recording session has gone by where an engineer or a musician didn’t say “wow, that kit sounds amazing” It was the best five hundred pounds I’ve ever spent and I’m still playing it today."
